Guest Lecture on Adaptive Control by Prof. Mark J. Balas

On June 13th, 17:00-18:30 (MW 3618) and June 14th, 16:00-17:30 (MW 3618) Prof. Mark J. Balas from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, U.S.A will give two guest lectures on adaptive control:

There is much talk about making a variety of systems completely autonomous with little or no human interaction. These applications include commercial aircraft transport, high occupancy automobile traffic on congested highways, space communication and operation systems, and military engagements. These systems should be able to carry out fundamental operations autonomously but leave the complex decision and control aspects to human operators and pilots.
